Mystery of Missing Beatles Tape

A one-off TV appearance by The Beatles has gone missing from the BBC archives. The band only appeared once live on Top Of The Pops, and it is now feared that the tape with the recording on may have been wiped clean in a 70's clear out. The group mimed to both tracks of Paperback Writer and Rain on 16th June 1966.
Have any fans hoarded away a pirate copy, or even a cine film made from the TV? The performance in BBC TV Centre took place two months before the Beatles stopped giving live appearances. Can anyone help?
