Owen Close for
family
Liverpool
and England striker Michael Owen puts his money where his mouth is when
it comes to proving his position on family ties. He is believed to have
paid £750,000 in cash for five luxury-detached homes in Clwyd North
Wales. He is supposed to have wanted to keep a sixth plot clear so that
the local youngsters would have somewhere for a kick-about. The builders
had different ideas and wanted the site for another home.
Owen has
moved mum and dad into a home at the top of the cul-de-sac, with a detached
double garage to house the £30,000 top of the range S-Type Jaguar
car, Reg T500 WEN (T50 Owen) which Michael gave to his dad Terry. Next
door, a mock-Tudor four bedroom house has been given to his brother Terry
jnr. Adjacent to him Michael has given his elder sister Karen and her
solicitor boyfriend Tim Foreman, a smaller three-bedroom home. The house
next to Karen is currently rented out but when it becomes empty this will
be given to Michael's other brother Andrew. The last one has been given
to his younger 17-year-old sister, Lesley. Michael himself lives nearby
with his girlfriend Louise Bonsall in a £200,000 luxury home.
