BeatleCity launch party held at the Cavern

The Cavern will always be linked with the beginning of The Beatles rise to fame. It was because of this that we chose the club as the venue for our launch party on August 9th. The day was a great success with invited guests and tourists alike. Live music was provided by Liverpool's own Pete Riley who surprised everyone by turning up with the other members of Treehouse, his last band. They hadn't played together in Liverpool since their last UK tour with Hootie and the Blowfish brought them to the Royal Court Theatre nearly two years ago. Other guests included Liverpool author and photographer Ron Jones who, the same day, launched his latest book 'The Beatles Liverpool - The Complete Guide' which will be available for sale on the BeatleCity site in the near future. The day was covered for the news by Channel One TV and Radio Merseyside. Now the site is up and running, keep an eye out for changes and new features!
