Elton a Big Hit in the Big Top

Elton John was a big hit in the Big Top on Kings Dock in Liverpool. His sell-out date was part of the Liverpool Summer Pops Series of shows. Elton was dressed in a spangled red suit and for 3 hours played and sang non stop. Included in his reportoir was Empty Garden, his tribute to John Lennon which he said should be sung in Liverpool. The Liverpool audience obviously enjoyed the show as true to form they gave him several standing ovations.
