"Our Town" at the Dome

More than 50 pupils from Liverpool city schools are taking part in a song and dance extravaganza, which will be performed next month at the Millennium Dome. Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra's community education department and Merseyside Dance Initiative, have got together and produced the 20-minute musical entitled "Our Town". The youngsters will be charting Liverpool's history, from 1207 when King John made it a city, right up to it's present day, and includes the famous club, Cream. The students have been working hard during their half term, putting the finishing touches to their routines and we send them our best wishes for their big day. 30/10/2000
