Liverpool goes into Cyberspace.

The giant German Bertlesmann Corporation is making part of the Cunard Building a Cyberspace Haven. They are creating 350 high-technology jobs in the building in order that their technicians can provide skilled help and advice across the Continent to internet users in commerce and industry. Managing Director of Marketing Services for Bertelsmann said "Merseyside has a strong culture of customer service and an excellent workforce and although we looked at a number of European locations, we eventually settled for Merseyside. By September 1st an initial operation will be ready, giving technical support to a variety of industries.
