Back to where they once belonged

For the first time in more than 40 years the Quarry Men are to perform at what was originally Quarry Bank School. This was the band that appeared at St Peter's fete when John met Paul. The group will perform at Calderstones Comprehensive School on 26th August followed by a performance at LIPA the following day. Both these shows are part of the Mathew Street Festival. Pete Shotton, Len Gary, Rod Davies, Eric Griffiths and Colin Hanton were all playing the day John and Paul met. It was good to meet Rod Davis and his daughter attended the BeatleCity.com launch at the Cavern last week.
